Snow Form:

The wind often has beautiful ways of sculpting the dry powder snow that accumulates in the course of the winter.

Joe Retreats:

We do a daylong adventure ski in a canyon near the house. The canyon is choked in many places with down timber, boulders, deep snow, and the stream in its’ bottom all of which add to the interesting navigational problems endemic in the place. Here Joe reverses after a snow pillow collapsed into the creek under his weight. This particular pitch offered no attractive alternative routes, though we found a passable passage.
